Students may arrive from 2pm onward on Saturday 13th December at the Chapel of the College. If we are advised of the time of arrival, we will ensure that they are met at the College, shown to their accommodation and made welcome at the Masterclass venue. Checkout is by 11am Saturday 20th December.
Lessons are held in the College chapel on a Steinway & Sons D model. This is supplied by The Concert and Artist Department, Steinway & Sons, London
The minimum number of individual lessons per student is five. The duration of each lesson is one hour or more, at the discretion of the Maestro.
A certificate of Attendance will be issued to every student.
There is no restriction to the age of students. Students of any standard are welcome to attend, from those taking exams and diplomas to those preparing for major competitions or performances, for example Liszt International Competition 2017 (Utrecht), Chopin International Competition 2015 (Warsaw) or Leeds International Piano competition 2015 (Leeds).
As Executive Producer and Artistic Director, Adolfo Barabino will also consider students showing exceptional talent and ability to participate in commercial recordings on the CLAUDIO RECORDS label. Students are encouraged to bring a programme of not more than 30-40 minutes duration. However, there will be flexibility in this regard when students are preparing for specific exams and competitions.
Anyone who wishes to attend the daily Masterclass is most welcome, free of charge.
Observers are also welcome to join the Maestro and his students for lunch between 1 pm and 3 pm. If so, please advise a minimum of three days in advance. There will be a charge for lunch of £ 7 per head.
Residential accommodation is available from Saturday 13th December until Friday 19th December included.
Rooms are those used during term-time by senior school students. Each student will have a private room. Bathroom and toilets will be shared. All bedding is supplied. Students need only bring their own bath towels.
Full board includes three meals per day and use of the College's sport facilities, comprising an indoor swimming pool, tennis courts and a small gym. Special dietary requirements should be requested on the Application Form.
|Participation to the Master Class is:
£ 390 for the Master Class and £ 390 for the boarding.
This does not include additional costs incurred e.g. the taxi to/from the airport or any possible visit outside the campus of the College.
